Holiday Ayo - Head of the Nusantara National Capital Authority (IKN), Bambang Susantono, proposed an additional budget of IDR 3.15 trillion to the DPR RI Budget Agency (Banggar).

This figure has experienced a significant increase compared to the previous allocation of only IDR 434 billion. 

“If we look, for all these things we still need several things that are not included in the Rp. 434 billion budget that we submitted," said Bambang in a working meeting with the DPR Banggar, Monday (18/9), citing Antara. 

Bambang explained that the proposed additional budget had specific allocations for various fields. Among them, the IKN Authority Secretariat with a budget of IDR 182.86 billion for payment of allowances for 350 IKN state civil servants (ASN). 

Apart from that, IDR 2.11 trillion will be used by the Deputy for Facilities and Infrastructure for the development of IKN infrastructure. 

According to Bambang, there has been no allocation for the construction of apartment towers for ASN IKN and also residential maintenance operations for previous construction workers. 

Then, the Deputy for Green and Digital Transformation will use a budget of IDR 466.64 billion for digital development. 

“Indonesia is a smart city, because if we want next year we start with everything digital, of course there are things that we also want to propose here for systems, for equipment, and so on, so that later all services in Indonesia we start with services like a smart city, like that," continued Bambang. 

Meanwhile, the Deputy for Environment and Natural Resources requires a budget of IDR 387.6 billion for environmental development in anticipation of natural disasters. 

“If there is, for example controlling forest fires, etc. And also reforestation, reforestation of several areas that we have programmed to become tropical forests in Kalimantan," he explained further. 

This became the basis for the IKN Authority to propose an additional budget, even though the initial budget already covered a number of aspects. 

Through the ABT 2024 proposal, he hopes that the IKN area can continue to develop as a center for sustainable green and digital transformation, and play a role in protecting the environment and natural resources. 

It is hoped that the proposed additional budget can help realize the IKN Authority's vision and mission for a better future.
