Attract Travelers, Lombok Village Tourism Actors Apply Story Telling

Holiday Ayo - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) explained that the tourism development program was implemented in the tourist villages of North Lombok, Central Lombok, East Lombok and West Lombok.
At least 11 tourist villages in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara which are the targets of the Tourism Awareness Campaign Program 5.0 and are now entering the mentoring stage.
As cited from tribunnews.com, Yani Aji Sujana, representative of West Sekotong Village from West Lombok said, although it is still a pilot village, residents and tourism actors are determined to collaborate to develop tourism.
Among other things, because the village is a producer of gold, silver and pearls; then it will be more encouraged to be worth selling.
"To attract tourists to come, there is sport diving and snorkeling on the 3 islands. In addition, we will develop MSMEs for special souvenirs from shell waste," said Yani, Friday (17/3).
"The most unique thing is that there is a tourist attraction that is packaged with a storytelling approach that can be sold as the closing tour package for the 3 Gilis," he said.
Meanwhile, Malik Abdul Aziz from Kuta Mandalika Village, Central Lombok, said that as a short-term program, his party would optimize digital marketing as a means of tourism promotion.
"For the long term, Fishermen's Village on Benjon Beach with pepper-like sand and trees on the beach as a USP (unique selling point). Of course we will cooperate with the travel agents there," he explained.
Deputy for Resources and Institutions at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Baparekraf, Martini M. Paham, invited the selected villages to make good use of and maximize the opportunity, so that the program is on target and has the right benefits.
The woman who is familiarly called Diah said that tourism was the first industry to fall due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and currently the tourism sector is recovering.
"We have to rise together, faster, stronger by prioritizing adaptation, innovation and collaboration," he said.
Then, the Tourism HR Development Director of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Florida Pardosi, who was present at the event, stressed the importance of building collaboration of all pentahelix elements in the tourism village development ecosystem.
