Holiday Ayo - Musk, a billionaire from the United States (US), made history as the first person in the world to have a net worth of more than US$ 400 billion (around IDR 6,400 trillion).

Elon Musk's assets jumped by around USD 20 billion, partly because of a deal that increased the valuation of Musk's rocket company, SpaceX, to around USD 350 billion.

SpaceX and its investors agreed to buy USD 1.25 billion in internal shares. After the 2024 US presidential election in which Donald Trump won, Musk enjoyed a surge in personal wealth.

Musk's closeness to Trump makes investors believe that his company will grow even more. Musk is the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, as well as the owner of X (formerly Twitter) and CEO of other ventures, including Neuralink, xAI, and the Boring Company.

Now, along with Vivek Ramaswamy, he will also lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in the next government.

Tesla shares closed at a record high Wednesday local time, reaching USD 424.77 at market close.

Since the American presidential election, Tesla shares have risen around 65% as investors believe Musk's influence in the Trump administration will ease regulation and benefit the company.

Source of Elon Musk's wealth Well, one of Musk's main sources of wealth is share ownership in the companies he leads.

At Tesla, where he is also CEO, Elon Musk is the largest single shareholder with an ownership of around 17%.

Tesla's current valuation is around USD 1.3 trillion, making it one of the most valuable companies in the world.

Then Elon Musk's second source of income is from the SpaceX spacecraft company, which is currently one of the most valuable private companies.

SpaceX is trusted by NASA to take astronauts to the ISS and form the Starlink satellite constellation to broadcast the internet.

SpaceX's value is estimated at USD 350 billion currently. Elon Musk has about 48% of shares in SpaceX, which accounts for a large share of his fortune.

As is known, Elon Musk also bought all Twitter shares worth USD 44 billion. However, currently the value of Twitter shares which have changed their name to X has decreased quite significantly, to around USD 19 billion.

As for his artificial intelligence company, xAI, its valuation also more than doubled in value in November amid a new funding round, jumping to USD 50 billion from a few months ago.
