Chaos Erupts at SEVENTEEN Concert Ticket Exchange in Jakarta

Holiday Ayo - The ticket exchange process for SEVENTEEN’s highly anticipated concert on February 8–9, 2025, at Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) descended into chaos. Thousands of fans who arrived at Lotte Mall Kuningan to collect their tickets were met with excessively long queues and an overcrowded, disorderly environment.

Since the first day of ticket redemption on February 4, the designated venue proved inadequate to accommodate the tens of thousands of fans. As a result, queues extended into the basement, parking areas, and even vacant lots surrounding the mall.

Many fans took to social media to express their frustration over the situation.

"After being sent all over Jakarta, now we’re forced to circle Lotte Mall from the basement to the main road and empty lots. Mecima has truly gone too far," wrote user @xngyucartt.

Beyond the long lines, unexpected incidents also occurred. One fan reportedly suffered an accident due to exhaustion while waiting in line.

"A stadium-scale concert (JIS), but the ticket exchange is at Lotte Mall. The queue extends to the roadside, which is dangerous with so many vehicles passing by. Someone even had their foot run over by a car while sitting down due to exhaustion," shared user @hecciom.

In response to the situation, concert promoter Mecima Pro issued a public apology via social media.

"We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the patience and understanding of the fans. Ensuring customer satisfaction and comfort at this event remains our top priority," Mecima Pro stated.

The incident has sparked widespread criticism of the ticket exchange system, which many believe was poorly planned, especially for a large-scale concert like SEVENTEEN’s at JIS.
