Chronology of Badminton Team Money Theft in Paris, Flat Tire Mode
Holiday Ayo - Through its official release, the 2024 Paris Olympic Ad Hoc Team formed by PBSI revealed the chronology of the theft incident that befell the Indonesian badminton team.
The incident occurred on Monday (5/8) afternoon French time, to be precise at around 17.30 WIB. This incident occurred in the city of Paris.
The person who experienced this unfortunate incident was PBSI National Badminton Team Manager Armand Darmadji.
At that time Armand was in his rental car. Suddenly someone appeared and told Shendy Puspita Irawati, Armand's colleague in the rental car, that their car tire was flat.
Armand then got out of the car. After checking the truth, Armand called the car rental company and reported what had happened.
Shendy went to the shop to buy the team's needs. Because he didn't really understand the rental owner's explanation, Armand reported it to the police who were at the location.
Coincidentally, the police on patrol were only three meters from his position. As soon as he returned to the car after talking to the police, Armand's bag which was in the car disappeared.
There is no explanation why the thief was able to take the bag. The contents of the missing bag contained money amounting to more than IDR 950 million.
This amount of cash is a team asset for its needs while in Paris, France. Apart from cash, there were also credit cards and passports stored in the bag.
Shortly afterwards Armand reported the incident to the Indonesian Embassy in Paris. The Indonesian Embassy then provided maximum assistance and reported this incident to the local police.
Until now there is no information whether the perpetrator of the theft has been caught or not. What is certain is that the Paris police will work optimally to find the perpetrators of the theft.
