Elon Musk Provides Free Starlink Service for Customers Affected by Sumatra Floods
SpaceX, through its Starlink service, has announced 30 days of free internet access for all customers affected by the severe floods in the Sumatra region. The policy is implemented as a form of support to ensure that residents in disaster-hit areas can remain connected even as conventional telecommunications networks suffer damage.
Information regarding the free service was initially announced through Starlink’s official social media account, followed by email notifications sent to all users in Indonesia.
With this policy, all active customers—including users who previously had their service suspended due to unpaid bills—automatically receive a one-month service credit without the need to submit any request.
