Excited on Social Media, Hotels in Medan Deny Guests Who Cause Floods Are Fined as Much as a Car

Holiday Ayo - The management of JW Marriott Medan spoke out regarding the viral video with the narration of a hotel visitor hanging clothes on a sprinkler, causing water to come out and flooding one floor of the hotel.
The viral video of a guest flooding a room and being fined was an incident in 2020. That problem has been resolved.
"We are aware of posts about our hotel on social media recently. We need to inform you that this happened in 2020 and has been completely resolved between the guest and the hotel," said Vina, Tuesday (11/2).
Apart from that, Vina also clarified that it was not true that the fine cost the price of an 'Agya Car' as was said.
"In addition, we intend to clarify that the information shared regarding fees charged to guests is not accurate," he said.
Vina again emphasized that the problem had been resolved.
"We remain committed to maintaining the highest standards and continue to strive to provide the best experience for our guests. Because this issue was resolved in 2020, we are currently unable to provide further information," he said.
