Holiday Ayo - TikToker with the most followers in the world, Khaby Lame, was detained by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (US ICE) officers. 

He was detained after being found to have exceeded his visa while in US territory. A spokesperson for Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed Khaby Lame's detention. 

It is known that Khaby was detained at Harry Reid International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday, (6/6). 

“US Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Seringe Khabane Lame, 25, an Italian citizen, June 6, at Harry Reid International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada, for immigration violations." 

It was stated in the report, Khaby Lame entered the United States on April 30. Until finally he exceeded his visa deadline, citing Reuters. 

“Lame was granted voluntary exit permission on June 6 and has left the US," said a statement from US Immigration.

The influencer has yet to respond to his arrest, but his fans have posted messages of concern on his Instagram account.

"Bro, are you okay?" one netizen wrote.

“I hope you are doing well. Sorry you had to be deported voluntarily!” another netizen said. 

In another response, a Khaby Lame fan added: “Dude, voluntary exit is a nice way to say it. Any deportation is a shame if you are not a criminal or only served a few days.” 

Khaby Lame is known to have claimed to have over 80 million followers on Instagram and over 162 million on TikTok in 2025, he is the most followed user on the app. 

His meteoric rise to global fame came after he began sharing TikTok 'skit' videos that satirized absurd "life hack" videos. 

The humorous clips do not include any dialogue. Instead, Lame's hilarious facial expressions do the talking, which makes him globally appealing.
