Filipino tourists cause trouble at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali

Holiday Ayo - A foreign tourist from the Philippines with the initials JPMP, 33 years old, caused a commotion at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Thursday (7/12) early morning.

He was caught throwing a tantrum and screaming before finally being restrained by security officers. The Filipino male tourist was immediately arrested by officers and escorted out of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali. 

 

The man with the initials JPP went berserk and shouted for no apparent reason, which made a number of other potential passengers feel afraid. 

 

Airport security officers intervened after receiving reports from passengers. 

 

“We received a report from the authorities at the airport. This tourist was furious and screaming," said Head of Operations for the Badung Satpol PP, I Made Astika, as reported by detik.com, Thursday (7/12) evening. 

 

The 33 year old tourist was then handled by Ngurah Rai airport security officers before finally being handed over to the Badung Satpol PP. 

 

Currently, JPP has been referred to the Prof Ngoerah Denpasar Central General Hospital (RSUP) to receive medical treatment. 

 

At the hospital, he was accompanied by two friends. According to officers, the man was difficult to calm because he continued to rebel and go berserk for no apparent reason. 

 

“When we secured him, he was still screaming. From the airport to the hospital he was also (screaming), suspected of being depressed," said Astika. 

 

According to information from the Badung Satpol PP, the incident occurred when JPP was leaving Bali for Manila, Philippines. 

 

JPP plans to be picked up home by his parents who came from the Philippines.

 

“The plan is for the father and mother to take them to Bali. We have coordinated with Ngurah Rai Immigration and the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta as well," concluded Astika.
