For the First Time, Ukraine Fires Storm Shadow Missiles at Russia

Holiday Ayo - Ukraine for the first time fires British-made Storm Shadow missiles at Russia.
The war-torn country was previously restricted to using long-range missiles within its own borders.
Reports of the attack emerged after Ukraine was given permission from Washington D.C. to fire US-supplied missiles into Russian territory, quoted from the BBC page, Thursday (21/11).
The US government declined to comment on the report for operational reasons, but White House officials confirmed that Defense Secretary John Healey had spoken to his Ukrainian counterpart about it.
Ministers in the US will likely be careful in responding to the report due to concerns over Russia's reaction, as well as to ensure that the action is not seen as UK-led.
The US and UK previously did not give permission for the use of long-range missiles on suspicion that this was related to a desire not to escalate the war.
However, recently US President Joe Biden gave the green light for Ukraine to use the Army Tactical Missile System (Atacms) supplied by the US to attack Russia.
Atacms was later used by Ukraine to target the Bryansk region which borders Ukraine. The US has also approved sending landmines to Ukraine, in an attempt to slow down Russian forces.
Speaking at the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, Prime Minister Sir Starmer said Britain would ensure Ukraine had what it needed during the war.
Storm Shadow is an Anglo-French cruise missile with a maximum range of about 250 km (155 mi).
This missile is launched from an airplane and then flies at close to the speed of sound, approaching terrain, before falling and detonating its high-explosive warhead.
