Investors from China to Abu Dhabi are interested in working on the Jakarta LRT continuation project

Holiday Ayo - PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda) or Jakpro said that the Jakarta Phase 1D, 2A and 2B LRT project was being looked at by investors, most of whom came from abroad.

Jakpro President Director Iwan Takwin said that foreign investors who had sent letters of intent (LoI) to Jakpro came from Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

However, he did not specify which foreign investors sent LoIs for which phase of the Jakarta LRT continuation project.

What is clear is that currently there are three projects being offered to investors through the Jakarta Investment Center (JIC), namely phases 1D, 2A and 2B with a total investment value of IDR 24.06 trillion.

“The countries that have submitted LoIs are China, Korea, Germany and Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates)," he said as quoted by Kompas.com, quoted Monday (15/7).

Next, his party will follow up on the LoI from the foreign investor to consider which offer is most suitable to proceed to the next stage.

“Every time an investor submits an LoI, we follow up with a formal meeting to start exploring what expectations and schemes they want," he said.

He hopes to soon find suitable investors to work on the three continuation projects of the Jakarta 1A Pegangsaan Dua-Velodrome LRT which have been operating since 2019.

“If the target is to get better investors as soon as possible, it just depends on the study and analysis process for each investor before they decide," he said.

For your information, work is currently underway on the Jakarta Phase 1B Velodrome-Manggarai LRT project which is targeted will be completed in 2026 and will begin operating in early 2027.

Then the construction of the Jakarta LRT will be developed into Phase 2A with the Kelapa Gading-JIS route, Phase 1C Manggarai-Dukuh Atas, Phase 1D Dukuh Atas-Pesing, as well as Phases 3A and 3B, each of which will complete the route.

Kemayoran-Jakarta International Stadium (JIS)-Kelapa Gading-Velodrome-Klender-Halim. However, JIC is offering three follow-up LRT Jakarta projects 1D, 2A and 2B with investment values of IDR 13.4 trillion, IDR 7.01 trillion and IDR 3.65 trillion, respectively.
