Middle East Increasingly Turbulent, Iraq Moves to Attack Israel

Holiday Ayo - The war in Arabia is increasingly escalating. Wednesday local time, Hezbollah fired ballistic missiles at the city of Tel Aviv with Israel launching more airstrikes on Lebanon.

Iraq also moved to retaliate against Israel through the Islamic Resistance Group in Iraq which launched an attack on Israel's Red Sea Port in Eliat.

Reported by AFP, Thursday (26/9), Iraq attacked Israel's Red Sea port using drones on Wednesday (25/9). Iraq claimed responsibility for the attack.

"The Islamic Resistance in Iraq attacked strategic targets in Eilat on Wednesday using drones," he said in a statement published on Telegram.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military said it intercepted a drone approaching Eilat and another crashed in the area.

They reported two people had minor injuries. As is known, Israeli military chief General Herzi Halevi said the air attack on Lebanon prepared the way for a possible ground attack.

He has told the Israeli army that air strikes in Lebanon will continue to destroy Hezbollah's infrastructure and to prepare the way for a possible ground attack.

"You hear fighter jets overhead; we have been attacking all day," General Herzi told troops on the border with Lebanon, according to a statement from the military, reported by AlJazeera, Wednesday (25/9).

"This is to prepare the way for your possible entry and to continue degrading Hezbollah," he added.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah says this is a war of calculation. They have been preparing for a possible land invasion since 2006.

They have always said they are ready for any scenario. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was very clear in his speech a few days ago, saying that if Israel tries to put a buffer zone in southern Lebanon, they will fail.

In the last few moments, at least two airstrikes have been heard. The Israeli army announced that it was concentrating on Nabatieh province.

Throughout the afternoon, there were air raids. Two things reportedly happened in Lebanon: First, offensive airstrikes took place—designed to cripple Hezbollah's infrastructure.

Then there was a reactive air attack - a series of Hezbollah rockets were heard entering Israel, about 15-20 minutes later, an air attack was seen in the area.
