Official Misconduct Scandal Revealed — Deputy Mayor and City Council Member Summoned by Prosecutors
The Bandung District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari Bandung) has formally designated the Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Erwin, and Bandung City Council Member, Rendiana Awangga, as suspects in an alleged corruption case involving abuse of authority within the Bandung municipal government.
The announcement was delivered during a press conference held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. Head of the Bandung District Prosecutor’s Office, Irfan Wibowo, explained that the determination was made following a thorough investigative process conducted by the prosecution team.
He further stated, “Second, RA, an active member of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Bandung City.”
According to Irfan, both individuals allegedly exploited their official positions to request procurement packages of goods and services from several officials within the Bandung City Government. Investigators concluded that these actions constituted an abuse of power detrimental to the integrity of local governance.
