Port Business Entities in Marunda Asked for Discipline to Pay Non-Tax State Revenue

Holiday Ayo - The Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi asked that the withdrawal of non-tax state revenues (PNBP) be carried out with good governance. So that it can be maximized in the future.

Not only that, Budi Karya Sumadi also reminded port business entities (BUP) located in the Marunda Port terminal area, North Jakarta, to be disciplined in paying PBNP. He emphasized that the PBNP must be optimized for the country's development given the limited state budget.

Through PBNP funds, the government will use them to build transportation facilities and infrastructure, especially in remote, outermost, underdeveloped and border areas (3TP).

"This PNBP revenue must be optimized because it will help sustain development in the midst of our limited state budget," Budi said while reviewing the Marunda Center Terminal, quoted from merdeka.com, Monday (15/8).

Optimization of PNBP funds deposited by BUP must also be in line with improving aspects of port safety and service quality. In the Marunda Port area, there are three main terminals managed by BUP, namely: the Marunda Center terminal (PT. Pelabuhan Tegar Indonesia), the public terminal of PT. Karya Citra Nusantara (KCN), and Kali Blencong terminal PT. Archipelago Bonded Zone (KBN).

The port in the Marunda area is a multipurpose logistics port with services including dry bulk, liquid bulk, and general cargo. The port in Marunda is a supporter of the Tanjung Priok International Port, Jakarta.

From port activities at Marunda Port, the government receives state revenues in the form of concession rates, PNBP, and other taxes. From 2019 to 2021, the number of non-tax revenues recorded continues to increase. In 2019 revenues reached IDR 20.8 billion, in 2020 IDR 23.1 billion, and 2021 at IDR 24.8 billion. Meanwhile, from 2022 to July it has reached IDR 15.3 billion.

In his review, the Minister of Transportation handed over safety jackets and basic food assistance to fishermen around the Marunda Port area. Also attending the event were the Director General of Sea Transportation Arif Toha, KSOP Tanjung Priok Wisnu Handoko, Directors of PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara, Directors of PT Karya Citra Nusantara, Directors of PT. Indonesian Strong Port.
