Ready to serve the homecoming flow, the day after tomorrow, Dhoho Kediri Airport will operate

Holiday Ayo - Kediri Regent Hanindhito Himawan Pramana said that Dhoho International Airport was effectively operational on Friday (5/4).
“For all the people of Kediri and surrounding areas who are going home for Eid, you can start a new journey from Dhoho International Airport," he said in Kediri, East Java, Tuesday (2/4).
He explained that the first flight was Citilink airline from Jakarta-Kediri and vice versa. This flight ticket reservation has appeared on the relevant airline's website.
Based on the Ministry of Transportation's website, this airport, which is located in Kediri Regency, has the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) code WARD and the International Air Traffic Association (IATA) flight code DHX.
His party has also ensured the operational readiness of the airport by visiting the airport. During the visit, the airport manager, PT Angkasa Pura I, said that Dhoho International Airport was 100 percent ready to serve flights.
He said that the operation of this airport provides a new alternative for the people of the Greater Kediri area who will travel by plane to or from Kediri in a shorter time because they no longer have to go through Juanda Airport.
“Hopefully flights to other cities and abroad can gradually operate," he said.
He said that the operation of the airport also has strategic significance for the economy and tourism development in the Greater Kediri area and its surroundings, such as Nganjuk, Tulungagung, Blitar, to Jombang and other areas.
“Of course we hope that the operation of Dhoho Airport can spur local economic development, marketing superior products in the Greater Kediri region, especially Kediri Regency," he said.
General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Dhoho Kediri International Airport I Nyoman Noer Rohim revealed that until now there is still one airline that has opened registration for domestic flights, namely Citilink.
He said that the airline, on Friday (5/4) opened domestic flights on the Jakarta-Kediri route and vice versa. This flight will use an Airbus A320 aircraft with a capacity of 180 seats.
“With flights at Dhoho Airport, it is hoped that it can encourage economic and tourism growth in Kediri," he said.
Specifically, April 5 2024 is the inaugural flight, then Citilink on the Jakarta-Kediri route will operate regularly twice a week, namely every Tuesday and Saturday.
