See the Largest Onion in the World

Holiday Ayo - British farmer Gareth Griffin managed to harvest onions weighing 8.97 kilograms and broke the world record for the heaviest onions.
Griffin himself was inspired by his father to grow these special onions. About 13 years ago, he started taking his hobby more seriously.
“I'm absolutely ecstatic to be growing the world's largest onion," Griffin said.
His father, continued Griffin, grew giant onions for years until he died. The biggest record his father ever achieved was around 3.5 kilograms.
“So breaking a world record means more to me than it does to most people," Griffin said.
The previous record was broken by the largest red onion weighing 8.5 kilograms in 2014. But now, Griffin has broken the record by weighing more than a bowling ball.
The bowling ball itself generally weighs around 7.25 kilograms.
