The name Sego Tempong comes from the Osing language, where the Osing tribe is a native tribe of Banyuwangi. Sego means rice and Tempong means slapped or slapped because Sego Tempong contains spicy chili sauce so that when you eat Sego Tempong it feels like you have been slapped because it is so spicy.
