The Lebanese PM admits he is facing the most dangerous phase because his country is being attacked relentlessly by Israel
Holiday Ayo - Israel's attack on Lebanese territory has made a number of world countries worried about the population living in Rafic Hariri's country.
Lebanese Prime Minister (PM) Najib Mikati said that his country was facing "one of the most dangerous phases in its history".
He also urged the United Nations to provide assistance to the one million people displaced by Israeli air strikes.
"Around one million of our people have been displaced because of the devastating war that Israel is waging in Lebanon," Mikati said in a meeting with UN representatives, as reported by Lebanese official media, the National News Agency, reported by the AFP news agency, Tuesday (1/10).
"We urgently request more assistance to strengthen our ongoing efforts to provide basic support to displaced civilians," he added.
In one of its attacks on Tuesday (1/10), the Israeli military launched an attack on the Palestinian refugee camp area in Lebanon.
The attack is said to have targeted the commander of the military wing of the Palestinian Fatah movement in the country.
Two Palestinian security sources who declined to be named, as reported by Reuters and Al Arabiya, Tuesday (1/10), said that the Israeli airstrike hit a building in the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp area, which is filled with Palestinian refugees, near the city of Sidon, southern Lebanon.
According to the two Palestinian security sources, the attack targeted Mounir Maqdah, who is the commander of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Fatah movement.
The condition of Maqdah itself is not clearly known after the attack. Meanwhile, the Hezbollah group also launched artillery attacks on Israeli troops across the border, specifically in Metula in northern Israel.
This attack was carried out when the Israeli military continued to pound Lebanon via air and launched limited ground attacks.
