This is the reason killing lizards is permitted in Islam

Holiday Ayo - The lizard is one of the animals that is often referred to as a nuisance for certain reasons, so there is an opinion that the lizard must be killed.
This type of reptile is easy to find at home, usually they perch on walls, be it bedrooms, bathrooms, even warehouses.
This animal is actually easy to chase away. Just seeing us passing by, they can walk away.
However, there are also those who have been expelled and remain in their place so they have to actually be hit by objects or splashed, only then will they leave.
The existence of lizards is actually not dangerous because they do not bite. However, their feces can be a problem if they come into contact with humans because they contain bad bacteria such as Salmonella.
Apart from being expelled, it turns out that lizards can be exterminated or killed in Islam. In the hadith itself, lizards are mentioned as animals that often bother humans.
In Arabic, the lizard is called Al Wazagh. Meanwhile, in the hadith, the lizard is called Al Fuwaisiq, which means 'little bully'.
Even though it is called a nuisance animal, the hadith does not mention that the presence of lizards can bring bad luck or hinder good luck.
Ustad Farid Nu'man explained that a Muslim must believe that bad luck and good fortune, disaster and safety, are all decrees from Allah Ta'ala alone.
This has also been written clearly in the Koran, QS. At-Taubah, Verse 51:
It is thought that lizards are nuisance animals because these animals, which often crawl on walls, can spread dirt.
Therefore, in Islam there is a recommendation to kill lizards because their droppings are disgusting.
“Lizards are dirty and disgusting animals for many people. So their presence is often considered a nuisance to humans in their homes. Therefore, Rasulullah SAW recommended killing them," said Ustad Farid Nu'man.
Then, the hadith also states that killing lizards by following certain rules can bring rewards to those who do it.
This history comes from Abu Hurairah Radhiallahu 'Anhu that the Prophet SAW said:
مَنْ قَتَلَ وَزَغَةً بِالضَّرْبَةِ الأُولَى كَانَ لَهُ كَذَا وَكَذَا حَسَنَةً، فَإِنْ قَتَلَهَا
فِي الضَّرْبَةِ God bless you قَتَلَهَا فِي الضَّرْبَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ كَانَ لَهُ كَذَا وَكَذَا حَسَنَةً»
It means:
"Whoever kills a lizard in one blow will get a reward that much, if two hits then that's all, if three hits then that's all." (HR. At Tirmidhi No. 1482, said At Tirmidhi: hasan shahih)
“The lesson from this is that all forms of disturbance to humans must be eliminated from the roots, including disturbances from animals such as lizards. Many humans are amused and disgusted by them when they are in cupboards, food, etc. So, the Shari'a protects humans and gets rid of their disturbances," concluded Ustad Farid.
