Three Indonesian National Team Players Show Off Their Muscles Ahead of the Match Against Australia

Holiday Ayo - Rafael Struick, Justin Hubner, and Marselino Ferdinan show off their strong muscles ahead of the Indonesian National Team vs Australia match in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.

The Indonesian National Team will face Australia in a crucial match on the seventh matchday of Group C of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers which will be held on Thursday (20/3) at the Sydney Football Stadium, Sydney.

The kickoff for this match is scheduled for 20.00 local time or 16.00 WIB. A total of 27 Indonesian National Team players have arrived in Sydney to prepare for the match.

The Indonesian National Team Coach, Patrick Kluivert, has held a fitness training session for the players, considering that physical strength will be an important key in this match, especially against Australian players who are known for their physical strength.

After the training session on Monday (17/3), three Indonesian National Team players, namely Rafael Struick, Marselino Ferdinan, and Justin Hubner, showed off their muscle strength through uploads on Instagram story.

This shows their physical readiness to face the big challenge against Australia which has high physical strength.

In this match, Indonesia came with four new players: Ole Romeny, Emil Audero, Joey Pelupessy, and Dean James.

The four naturalized players were just confirmed as Indonesian citizens (WNI) in 2025, so they have the potential to make their debut in the match against Australia.

Their presence is expected to provide more variety and strength for the Indonesian National Team squad in the hunt for tickets to the 2026 World Cup finals.

This match is very important for Indonesia to get full points. The Red and White Team is currently in third place in Group C with three points from six matches, while Australia is in second place with seven points. 

 

This match is also Indonesia's first away match to Australia's headquarters after the two teams previously drew 0-0 in Jakarta on September 10, 2024. 

 

In addition, the Australian National Team will appear with several new players due to the storm of injuries that haunts them. 

 

Players such as Harry Souttar, Alessandro Circati, Keanu Baccus, Samuel Silvera, Nestory Irankunda, and Mitch Duke are confirmed to be absent from this match. 

 

High hopes are now pinned on Jay Idzes and his friends to provide positive results in this match in order to maintain Indonesia's chances of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup finals.
