Holiday Ayo - The Chairman of the PSSI National Team Body (BTN), Sumardji, stated that they have sent letters to the clubs of diaspora players like Ivar Jenner and Mauro Zijlstra.

The letter aims to allow Ivar Jenner, Dion Markx, and Mauro Zijlstra to participate in training camps (TC) with the Indonesian U22 National Team until the end of the 2025 SEA Games.

Currently, the Indonesian U22 National Team is undergoing the second phase of training camps as part of preparations for the 2025 SEA Games.

The Indonesian U22 National Team coach, Indra Sjafri, has summoned 30 players and three additional players to participate in the TC.

Among the 30 players summoned, three diaspora players have already joined: Ivar Jenner, Dion Markx, and Mauro Zijlstra.

In addition, three players participating in trials are Luke Xavier Keet, Muhammad Mishbah, and Reycredo Beremanda.

These 33 players have been undergoing training camps in Jakarta since November 6, 2025, and Ivar Jenner and Mauro Zijlstra began training on Tuesday (November 11).

The players are currently preparing for the 2025 SEA Games, and before the event, they will participate in friendly matches.

Indra Sjafri's team is scheduled to face Mali in two friendly matches at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor, on November 15 and 18, 2025.

Because these matches coincide with the international break, Ivar Jenner and Mauro Zijlstra will be able to play for the Indonesian national team.

However, after these two matches, it is unclear whether Ivar Jenner and Zijlstra will remain in the Indonesian U22 national team training camp until the 2025 SEA Games.

The club is not obligated to release players because the 2025 SEA Games is not a FIFA event.

In response, the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has attempted to initiate correspondence to ensure Ivar Jenner and Zijlstra remain part of the Red and White team's training camp until the SEA Games conclude.

Sumardji revealed that the PSSI has sent a letter to FC Utrecht urging Ivar Jenner to remain with the Red and White team.

Letters were also sent to Dion Markx's club, TOP Oss, and Mauro Zijlstra's team, FC Volendam.

The Indonesian U22 national team manager, who also serves as the manager of the Indonesian U22 national team, has contacted all the clubs willing to release Ivar Jenner and Zijlstra to the Garuda Muda squad until the SEA Games concludes.

"Yes, okay, thank you. So, according to our letter, the PSSI has sent letters to each club, starting with Ivar Jenner's club and continuing on to the other clubs," Sumardji stated, as quoted by BolaSport.
