Visit the Batang Dolphin Center

Holiday Ayo - Central Java Batang Regency has a safari park that specializes in handling dolphins, namely the Batang Dolphin Center (BDC). This tourist spot is part of the Taman Safari Indonesia unit. In addition, it also cooperates with the Natural Resources Conservation Agency. Even though it is designated as a dolphin sanctuary, there are also other animals here.
Dolphins are the main reason visitors come to this dolphin park. Visitors can see dolphins in various pools. Some are in ponds, some are placed in large aquariums.
In addition, there is also a dolphin attraction which lasts for 30 minutes. Visitors can take pictures and interact directly with these dolphins.
Even though it holds many animals, the Batang Dolphin Center is not as large as the Safari Park. This tourist attraction stands on an area of 15 hectares. Where there are approximately 42 animals, both types of birds, reptiles, and mammals.
There are watusi, elephants, sun bears, orangutans, leopards, ostriches, and hippos. Plus camels, emu birds, hedgehogs, lingsangs, and other animals.
These animals are mostly endemic to Indonesia and Africa. Due to the BDC environment which has a high temperature, which is above 30 degrees Celsius. And animals from Indonesia and Africa can withstand this temperature.
This tourist attraction provides animal attraction shows at certain times. Visitors can enjoy the show free of charge. Like an animal agility show. Here, visitors will see various animals show their ability to perform agility.
There is also a wild animal show, which is certainly very interesting to watch.
Not to forget, the dolphin show is the main attraction. Visitors will see dolphins show agility. Dancing beautifully on the water, and their cuteness when interacting with visitors.
Here, there are large animals that visitors can ride. These include elephants, camels and horses. To enjoy riding these animals, visitors are charged an additional fee.
In contrast to elephants and camels that can be ridden by all ages. Horses can only be ridden by children. Because here only provide ponies and Madura horses.
Visitors can also interact with tame animals. Like feeding animals, or feeding birds in special cages.
Located 200 meters from the dolphin park, visitors can visit Sigandu Beach. Beautiful beach in Batang Regency. Here, visitors can enjoy a beautiful view of the beach complete with shady trees.
Dolphins bred at BDC will not be kept forever. Some were transferred to other safari parks in Indonesia. Some are released back into the ocean.
