Ahmed says that there are already around 460 wedding planners that will join this congress, and more than 50 countries have confirmed their attendances. Destination Wedding Planners Congress 2022 will include several events, such as exhibition, discussion, and even networking session.

The Tourism Ministry’s Director of Tourism Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition, Masruroh claims that there are some countries with the biggest participants. Those countries are India, United States of America, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, England, Australia, and Nigeria.

This congress had been held in other countries before, such as Thailand, Greece, Italy, and Mexico. Masruroh hopes that this event will be able to restore the wedding industry that has been down for the last 2 years.

“The vendors and workers in creative economy sectors that are connected to weddings, whether they are florists or wedding organizers, in the regions don’t have a chance to work. So now we will restore it with DWP Annual Congress,” he says.
