Srigunting Park in Semarang

Holiday Ayo - Srigunting Park is one of the landmarks in the Old City of Semarang.

During the Dutch colonial period,  Srigunting Park is an open space in the form of a park which is a place for gathering or community activities.

The area began to be built into a park in the late 1970s.

However, local people are not allowed to visit the park, known as Srigunting, because the City Government decided if the Srigunting Park is the lungs of the city.

The Dutch heritage park was opened to the public in 2004. Facilities were also being completed. Like a beautified path for tourists.

Srigunting Park is the right place after circling the Old City area. But until now, the shade of the trees makes fatigue seem to evaporate.

Usually, the spots that are often used by tourists for selfies are purple and pink decorative bicycles. The photos will look cute because the bicycle is decorated with various kinds of flowers. There are also Japanese-style paddle rickshaws and pull rickshaws. Visitors who like selfies are very suitable in this area. Moreover, these vehicles can be ridden.

Another photo spot that should not be missed when visiting Srigunting Park. The pose with the Blenduk Church background is definitely instagramable.

There is also a small bridge so that the photos look more exotic.
