Indonesian Railways Gives Discounts for Visitors to the East Java Tourism Exchange

Holiday Ayo - Indonesian Railways Company (KAI) Daop 8 Surabaya provides a 20 percent discount on ticket prices at the East Java Tourism exchange arena titled "Majapahit Travelfair" at Tunjungan Plaza 6, Surabaya City, from September 30 to October 2, 2022.

Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 8 Surabaya, Luqman Arif, in a written broadcast in Surabaya, Saturday, October 1, said the 20 percent discount was for commercial trains and all relationships and was valid for departures from October 4 to 31, 2022, to boost the tourism.

"The public can get this promo by making a purchase at our booth at the Majapahit Travelfair event," said Luqman, as quoted from Antara.

According to him, this discount promo was presented in order to celebrate the 77th Anniversary of the Train and to provide a stimulus to the community so that rail transportation services could improve again.

"With this promo, it is hoped that it can also support the rise of the tourism sector in East Java through public transportation, especially trains," he said.

This 20 percent discount promo applies to all long and medium-distance trains for all classes, namely economy, business, and executive.

"This discount does not apply to Local Trains (KA), Luxury Trains, Public Service Obligation (PSO) Trains, Imperial Trains, Priority Trains, and other Tourist Trains. specials, and other discounts," he said.

Meanwhile, the Majapahit Travelfair event is an activity that brings together the tourism industry and the community directly, which will be held from 30 September to 2 October 2022.

The purpose of this event is to facilitate the East Java tourism industry, move the tourism sector, improve the economy, and build business networks between tourism industries in East Java.

Exhibitors include Tourism Attraction Managers such as Jatim Park Group, Safari Park, Cimory Land, Lamongan Marine Tourism, Trans Snow World, and include the hospitality sector and Tourism Villages, banking, government agencies, and travel agents.
