During Eid 2024 Sales of Electronic Products - Tokopedia Groceries Double

Holiday Ayo - Tokopedia revealed that the categories of daily goods (groceries) and electronic products are the best-selling products during the Ramadan and Eid 2024 periods.

Tokopedia Corporate Affairs Director Nuraini Razak said that the best-selling sales in the groceries category also occurred like last year. 

 

The percentage of groceries compared to other products does not reach 50%. 

 

“The best-selling category on Tokopedia nationally throughout Ramadan and Eid 2024 is groceries, last year it was also the same [category] groceries," said Nuraini at the Halalbihalal Media Gathering event with Tokopedia and Shop Tokopedia as reported by Bisnis.com, Thursday (25/4). 

 

Nuraini said that the other best-selling product categories on Tokopedia are household and fashion. He said that these two categories also had the same trend as the previous year. 

 

“Sales of groceries and electronic products each experienced an almost 2-fold increase in sales during the Extra Fun Ramadan campaign which took place on Tokopedia from 23 February to 5 April 2024 compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, fashion products jumped almost 2.5 times," he added. 

 

If dissected regionally, Nuraini said that the best-selling categories on Tokopedia on Sumatra and Java are groceries, household and fashion. 

 

Meanwhile, electronics, groceries and household products are the best-selling categories on Kalimantan Island. Meanwhile, the best-selling products on Sulawesi Island are groceries, electronics and fashion. 

 

Meanwhile, the best-selling products on Papua Island are electronics, groceries, and sports and hobbies. In contrast to what happened with the Tokopedia application, Nuraini said that Muslim women's fashion products, skincare or facial care, and food were the best-selling categories on Shop Tokopedia in the TikTok application throughout Ramadan - Eid 2024. 

 

TikTok via Shop Tokopedia also noted that the average sales of business actors who took part in the Extra Fun Ramadan campaign increased more than 3 times compared to the weekly average in February 2024. 

 

Referring to Similarweb data, Nuraini said that Tokopedia has more than 100 million monthly active users on the Tokopedia platform. Meanwhile, he added, TikTok users reached around 125 million.
