Dutch Companies Invited to Invest in Electricity Infrastructure

Holiday Ayo - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif, during a working visit to the Netherlands, held a bilateral meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Dutch Minister for Climate and Energy Policy Rob Jetten.

During the meeting, Arifin invited Dutch companies to invest in clean energy and inter-island electricity infrastructure. 

 

“We invite Dutch companies to invest in the field of clean energy and inter-island electricity infrastructure in Indonesia," said Arifin as quoted in a press release, Thursday (25/4). 

 

Apart from these two fields, there are also opportunities for cooperation in biofuels sector. At the bilateral meeting, Rob Jetten welcomed the opportunity for cooperation with Indonesia. 

 

Jetten said he would invite Dutch business entities, including business entities in the European Union, and consolidate funding and investment support for the development of electricity infrastructure and new and renewable energy. 

 

Previously, on September 1 2022 in Bali, Minister Arifin and Minister Rob Jetten signed the RI-Netherlands MOU on Cooperation in the Field of Energy Transition to Combat Climate Change on the sidelines of the ETMM (Energy Transitions Ministerial Meeting G20). 

 

At that time, the two of them also witnessed the signing of the Joint Study Agreement (JSA) between PT Pertamina Power Indonesia (Pertamina NRE) and Pondera Development BV.
