Not Only Borobudur, this is a Series of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites in Indonesia

Holiday Ayo - Indonesia has abundant natural wealth and beauty. In fact, not long ago Indonesia was ranked at the top of the most beautiful country in the world by British media, Money.co.uk, because of its natural beauty.
However, recently there has been a lot of controversy about the entrance ticket to Borobudur Temple for local tourists, which is IDR 750 thousand. The increase in the entrance price for the temple in Central Java was considered too high and unnatural for a tourist place.
It is known that Borobudur Temple is one of the world's cultural heritage sites or world heritage recognized by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Vultural Organization).
Besides Borobudur Temple, there are several other cultural heritages in Indonesia that have been recognized by UNESCO, such as Prambanan Temple. Check out the list of Indonesian cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO below.
1. Borobudur Temple
The first world cultural heritage in Indonesia that is recognized by UNESCO is the Borobudur Temple. This famous Buddhist temple is located in Magelang, Central Java. Unlike other temples, Borobudur Temple is located on a hill.
This temple with many stupas was founded by Mahayana Buddhists around the year 800 AD during the Syailendra dynasty.
Until now, Borobudur is still used as a place of religious pilgrimage, and every year Buddhists come from all over Indonesia and abroad to gather to commemorate the Vesak Trisuci.
2. Prambanan Temple
Then there is Prambanan Temple which is a world cultural heritage in Indonesia which is recognized by UNESCO. Prambanan Temple is the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia which was built in the 9th century AD. In addition to the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia, Prambanan Temple is also one of the most beautiful temples in Southeast Asia.
The Prambanan temple complex as a whole is in Yogyakarta, but the administrative door is in Central Java. This is what makes Prambanan Temple located in two places, namely Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta and Sleman Regency, Central Java.
3. Sangiran Early Man Site
Next is the Sangiran Ancient Human Site which is also included in the cultural heritage in Indonesia which has been recognized by UNESCO. It is known that the excavation of the Sangiran ancient human site started from 1936 to 1941 which later resulted in the discovery of the first hominid fossils at this site.
Sangiran is recognized by scientists to be one of the most important sites in the world for studying human fossils. This archaeological site is located in Sragen, Central Java.
