There is an entry fee. The price varies and it depends on the season. Usually, it is more expensive during holidays. Mostly, visitors don’t spend too much time here. It is about 30 minutes to 2 hours. Some tourists spend much longer, though.

Once you enjoy your time here, you can visit nearby attractions like Sidihoni Lake, Hobon Stone, and much more.

At the end of the day, you must visit nearby villages. It is the time to enjoy local dishes.



There are many local eateries, so you can try Batak’s specialties. These include Arsik and Saksang. The locals are friendly. Chances are that they may teach you some local cultures and languages.

How to Get There
From Medan, you can directly head to Samosir Island. You can use any type of land transportation. Rented a car is the best choice, as it is both comfortable and fast.
The trip usually takes about 3 hours. The accessibility is quite excellent. The street is a little bit meandered.
