Global Artists Raise IDR 32 Billion Through Concert for Palestine

Holiday Ayo -

The charity concert Together for Palestine at OVO Arena Wembley, London, on Wednesday (September 10, 2025), successfully raised more than IDR 32 billion for humanitarian aid in Gaza. The event drew over 12,500 attendees and was led by musician Brian Eno alongside Palestinian artist Malak Mattar.

A host of international stars took part, including Benedict Cumberbatch, Florence Pugh, Richard Gere, Nicola Coughlan, and Riz Ahmed. Florence Pugh declared, “Silence in the face of suffering is not neutrality. It is complicity,” receiving a long round of applause.

Benedict Cumberbatch recited poetry by Mahmoud Darwish, while further support was delivered via video messages from Cillian Murphy, Billie Eilish, Joaquin Phoenix, and Brian Cox. Former footballer Eric Cantona went as far as to call on FIFA and UEFA to suspend Israel from international competitions.

With additional donations collected online and through merchandise sales, the concert became one of the entertainment industry’s largest solidarity efforts for Palestine, underscoring the growing wave of global support amid Israel’s ongoing assault on Gaza.
