Not Bottles, But iPhones! UAE Fans Throw iPhone 17 Pro Max Onto the Pitch After Qatar’s Victory!

Holiday Ayo -

The 2026 World Cup Asian Qualifiers match between Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, Doha, descended into chaos as clashes erupted between supporters of both nations following Qatar’s 2–1 victory in their final Group A fixture.

According to Middle East 24, the incident began when Qatar scored goals in the 49th and 74th minutes. As Qatari players celebrated in front of the UAE supporters’ stand, several opposing fans expressed their frustration by throwing sandals and bottles toward the field.

Tensions escalated further after the final whistle. Enraged UAE fans attempted to approach the Qatari players’ area, triggering physical altercations and object-throwing between both groups of supporters.

“Tensions flared after the UEA-Qatar match, as clashes broke out between supporters following Qatar’s controversial win and qualification for the World Cup. The atmosphere inside the stadium became highly charged, prompting security forces to intervene to restore order,” Middle East 24 reported.

In a surprising twist, some fans were seen hurling high-value items, including the iPhone 17 Pro Max — the latest model, which has yet to be officially released in Indonesia.

“The exchange of iPhone 17 Pro Max devices thrown between Qatari and UAE fans following Qatar’s qualification for the World Cup has sparked outrage and widespread criticism across the Arab world,” the outlet added.

Security personnel swiftly evacuated players and officials from both teams, while several fans were detained for questioning. As of now, Qatari authorities have not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
