The 19-year-old gymnast passed away after 12 days of intensive care at G.A. Zakharyin Hospital.

He was scheduled to compete in the 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in 2025, the 2025 SEA Games in Bangkok, and was projected to qualify for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
"Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun (God willing, may He be glorified and exalted be upon him). Our national male athlete, Naufal, has passed away. Naufal was a talented young athlete and a good person. Indonesian gymnastics has lost one of the nation's finest. This is a profound blow and sorrow for us. May the family be given strength and may Naufal find a place in the best side of Allah SWT," said Ita Yuliati, Chair of Indonesian Gymnastics.

However, during the training program, Naufal had an accident during training and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
He is being treated intensively in the ICU, and all parties are continuing their efforts to provide the best possible care.
